3D Interior Design: See Your New Room in 3D!

Would you like to do some remodeling in your home but you’re concerned about what it will look like? Well, of course you are! And you should be — after all, you want the results to be exactly what you pictured in your mind. That’s why we use a variety of tools to help you “see” what the finished room will look like so you don’t have to try to imagine it. Instead, it’s right there in front of you on paper, and with our most advanced 3-D interior design tool you can practically see a photo of the finished room before we even start! Let’s take a look at that process.

Our most basic visualization involves black and white sketches such as this detail on a fireplace surround.

And then that simple sketch becomes part of a larger sketch using color. You can see here how that fireplace detail is part of the overall room sketch.

Because we like to give you options, we sketch a few different approaches to the room so you can select the one you like best — or maybe aspects of each that we can combine into one space. So here is the second version of that sketch.

And then here is how the finished room looks. As you can see, we ended up with a different color on that entertainment unit/fireplace combo but the sketches allowed our clients to easily see what they liked and didn’t like to achieve the best result possible.

Here is another shot of that room. Doesn’t it look warm and comfortable?

Even though the sketches are pretty true to the finished product, some clients want an even more realistic version of what their new room will look like. So for those clients, we offer an added service that creates the photo-like image I mentioned above.

For this large space, we offered our clients three completely different floor plans with detailed computer-generated renderings that even show finishes and fabrics. Here are the three pairs (you can click on them for a larger view).

Aren’t those amazing? I swear they really aren’t photos! But you can see how this is a useful tool for everyone in the decision-making process.
